This project was a visual rebrand of a restaurant in downtown Toronto. The owners wanted to convert their traditional restaurant into a trendy snack bar and drinks venue with live entertainment in the evenings. The creative direction for the interior and exterior was done by Esperanto Gallery and they wanted to eminate the vibe of a parents’ rec room in the 80’s.
As the walls and exterior facade was covered in vibrant street graffiti art, it was decided that a simple and monochromatic brand ID would work well amongst the various colours introduced in and outside of the space.
The rebrand consisted of a brand new logo and visual identity which was then applied across their signage, food and cocktails menu, business cards and website.
Social media posts were designed with an 80’s vibe in mind and pulled in classic symbolic objects from this era as well as typography and visual effects from that era.
